We harvest our chestnuts fresh each fall and start shipping as soon as they're ready, usually around October 15.

Our large chestnuts are a Ladd Hill staple: these are the ones customers return for year after year. Unlike most nuts, chestnuts are perishable and only available for a few weeks each year, so order early.

How to Roast

Score an X on the flat side of each nut. Add to a pot of boiling water and boil 5 minutes (this makes them easier to peel after roasting). Then roast at 425°F for 20 minutes until shells curl back. Peel while warm.
